TED BUNDY’S “SUICIDE”

Theodore Robert Bundy is one of America’s most well-known serial killers. Between 1974 and 1978, he killed an unknown number of young women in various parts of the country. Bundy would first rape and then torture his victims before killing them. He confessed to 30 murders, but the total number of victims is much higher.

I became involved with the Ted Bundy case when Bundy’s appointed public defender, Michael Minerva, contacted me about the 1978 Chi Omega murders. Two sorority sisters had been killed and two others injured in Tallahassee, Florida. Bundy was identified as the perpetrator. Minerva asked my opinion if “there are grounds to seek a court ordered psychiatric evaluation of Mr. Bundy.”[1]
